TabTrade - What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
